Abstract    Property of Kapok fiber was summed up. Structure£¬chemical composition and physical property of Kapok fiber were analyzed. It is pointed out that because of high content lignin£¬Kapok fiber has better property of natural antibacterial£¬quick drying after moisture absorption£¬high torsional rigidity£¬oleophylic. Moisture absorption of Kapok product is higher and the ultraviolet radiation is worse because of higher content hemicelluloses. Kapok product has the property of lighter quality£¬warm retention£¬sound insulation et al for its higher hollowness. It is suggested that processing of Kapok could according to ramie£¬high pressure should be avoided and advantages should be used fully to produce distinctive products.
