China´s Ministry of Science and Technology recently announced Chengdu as the national production base of high-performance fiber. In the meantime, several renowned companies including China Bluestar Chengrand Chemical, Shenzhen Selen also signed investment contracts with Xinjin which involved an overall investment of 6.035 billion CNY.

Xinjin Industrial Park is the backbone for the construction of Sichuan high-performance fiber production base. The whole project is blueprinted to be wrapped up within three years. China Bluestar Chengrand Chemical is about to invest around 3 billion CNY for the construction of a composite material industrial park. Sichuan University will also be carrying out a string of cooperative activities involving public technology service platform construction, professional training service rendering with the local government of Xinjin.
